Built on experience.
Driven by ambition.
Engineer Valentin Popescu founded General Concrete Cernavodă in 1994 with a clear ambition: to build a Romanian company capable of taking responsibility for substantial construction and infrastructure work.
From its base in Cernavodă, the company developed strong capabilities in civil, industrial and nuclear construction. Its authorisation for nuclear activities in 1997 marked an important step in this development and supported its long-term involvement in projects for Romania’s nuclear sector.
Over the years, GCC expanded its technical expertise, operational capacity and range of services. Today, the company combines engineering, construction, manufacturing and maintenance capabilities to undertake increasingly large and complex projects across nuclear energy, infrastructure and industry.
